Tick Tweezers & Tick Removers for Dogs and Cats
With tick tweezers or tick forceps you grip the tick directly above the skin and pull it out slowly and straight, without squeezing its body. Here you will find tick removers made of stainless steel for dogs, cats and people: tick tweezers with holding loop for one-handed use on animals, fine tick forceps for nymphs in the fur and classic tick tweezers for the home first-aid kit.
-
Tick tweezers with holding loop – the tweezers hold the tick on their own, leaving one hand free to calm the dog or cat.
-
Tick forceps with angled tip – also grip very small ticks and nymphs deep in the fur or in skin folds.
-
Tick tweezers with gripping edge – narrow tips for ticks on the ear, lip and between the toes.
-
Classic tick tweezers – inexpensive, belong in every home first-aid kit and hiking pack.
Removing a tick from a dog or cat: Part the fur, place the tick tweezers close to the skin, grip the tick by the head and pull it out evenly and straight – do not twist, do not squeeze, no oil and no glue. Then disinfect the area and rinse the instrument with hot water. If redness or swelling appears after a few days, see a vet. How to remove a tick from a person correctly is explained in the guide Removing ticks from people, dogs and cats.
All tick tweezers are made of stainless steel, can be disinfected and last for years. The country of origin is stated in the description of each product.
